Scheme Name: Free laptop Scheme 2019-20

The government of Karnataka has implemented the free laptop scheme for higher education students for the academic year 2019-20. This video tells about the eligibility conditions, procedure and other requirements of free laptop scheme Karnataka 2019-20. the main purpose of this scheme is to provide e content loaded laptops to the Karnataka students to enable them to have better access to the e educational resources. 

Objective of the free laptop scheme

This Scheme is for the first year under graduate students of Karnataka and it is applicable to government first grade colleges of Karnataka. In Recent era education has shifting from its traditional approach to modern technology enabled approach. to enable our students to cope up with the changing environment and compete with world it is necessary to open up our students minds to technology and innovation.

To enable our students for world level education Government of Karnataka is issuing Free laptops for the students who are studying in Government first grade colleges.

Eligibility for Free Laptop scheme

To get eligibility under this scheme students family income must be less than two lakh Fifty thousand and in the academic year they should be studying in first year degree course. Students attendance shall be more than 75%.

Application Submission

Students need not submit any application. concerned college in which student is studying they will only submit the application in the given format in department of collegiate education website.

This laptops will supplied to colleges and college authorities will safe guard the laptops till the technical verification by the supplier. suppliers service representatives will come and inspect the working of the laptop. after inspection and confirmation of the correct working of the laptop college authorities will take measures to issue the laptops for the eligible students,
