Government of Karnataka is conducting the KARTET exam to ensure the teacher quality in recruitment process. And thereby improve the performance of the education institutions to ensure the higher standards of quality in the education in Karnataka.

Eligibility for KARTET
Paper I: (For Ist standard to 5th Standard)
- Should passed PUC with minimum 50% marks AND
- Already Passed or Still appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Already passed or appearing in final year or 4th year Bachelor of Elementary Education OR
- Already passed or Still appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education OR
- Already passed or Still appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
Paper -II: (for teaching class 6 to 8)
- Graduation with at least Securing 50% marks AND
- Passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) OR
- passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education OR
- Passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A.Ed /B.Sc.Ed.
Qualifying Marks to Pass KARTET Exam

Validity of the KARTET certificate
Valid for SEVEN years from the date of declaration of results.
Procedure for Application Submission

Step 01: Visit the official Website Apply for KARTET 2019-20
Step 02: Click on “Online Application for Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test – 2019”
Step 03: Click on “New User”
Step 04: Enter the required details and create the User id and Password
Step 05: Click on login and enter user id and password
Step 06: After Login Enter your Personal Details
Step 07: Enter Education Details
Step 08: Select the TET eligibility test paper
Step 09: Upload Photo and Signature (Size must be Photo size 5 kb to 50 kb and Signature must be size 5 kb to 40 kb in JPEG format)
Step 10: Read and accept the declaration
Step 11: Payment of Fees
Step 12: Print your Application after successful payment of fees
Step 13: Logout from the Account
